About This Textbook

The content of this block is organized to introduce the plumber apprentice to the theory and installation of drainage systems. These systems are designed to convey sewage from point of use to the municipal or city system. These systems are located on both public and private property. The inclusion of manholes is meant to introduce the apprentice plumber to those mechanisms where a system can be inspected, cleaned, and maintained without exposing the underground piping.
