About This Textbook
The content of this block is organized to introduce the plumber apprentice to sewage treatment systems. The handling of human waste has evolved from depositing it on the ground, where it would decompose naturally and be inoffensive due to the absence of population density, to sending it through piping systems to a municipal plant for proper treatment and disposal. This block discusses installing, testing, and servicing sewage treatment systems and components. Each learning task includes a list of leaning objectives and self-tests to enable students to check their understanding of the content.
