About This Textbook
The content of this block is organized to introduce the plumber apprentice to private water supply systems that are used by many households and businesses across the world. Unlike municipal water systems, private water systems are the responsibility of the property owner and their plumber, and as such, it is essential to understand their design, installation, operation, and maintenance requirements. This block discusses installing rural water supply systems and installing residential water treatment systems. Each competency includes a list of leaning objectives and each learning task includes a self-test to enable students to check their understanding of the content.
