About This Material
A scenario intended to generate discussion between students in week 3 of a first-year business communications course. The reader’s friend has run into trouble with the university and written an email to the dean of his faculty to ask for a meeting, but his poor writing skills have gotten him into even more trouble. The reader is asked to rewrite their friend’s email and advise him on what to do next.
