About This Course Pack
This course covers the learning outcomes and core topics of Provincial Biology as described by the Adult Basic Education Curriculum found in the most recent edition of theĀ British Columbia ABE Articulation Handbook, including the completion of seven or more labs. Students are introduced to topics in cellular biology, genetics, anatomy and physiology. Much of the course content aligns with that of the open textbook Human Biology.
The course is divided into four modules, each containing an assignment, PowerPoints, a student note guide full of blanks for students to fill out while listening to lectures, and a test bank corresponding to each lecture. Each PowerPoint indicates which sections of the course textbook correspond to the lecture content. A course syllabus and a lab manual with eight labs are also provided.
